Graduate Teaching Assistant - CSE 5114: Data Manipulation and Management at Scale

Responsibilities & Contributions

• Supported a graduate course on large-scale data management pipelines — from ingestion to storage — covering Snowflake, SQL, Airflow, Spark, Kafka, Flink, and Python, plus distributed storage, fault tolerance, and scaling.
• Held biweekly office hours and asynchronous support via Ed Discussion; conducted oral midterms structured as data engineering job interviews and participated in a faculty study on scaling oral exams to 50+ students with multiple TAs.
• Mentored three capstone teams building static and real-time dashboards from open data sources.
